Pot Distilled Clarendon Jamaica rum, initially aged in American and French oak, before finishing in casks that previously held peated GlenAllachie Single Malt.
A dram with pretty unusual cask make up, first aged in rye casks, Rioja red wine and new oak, these peated casks. Adding a nice dash of smoke to this fruity rum.
Nose – Lashings of pineapple, smoked plantains and cinnamon, with vanilla, butterscotch and smoked Caribbean jerky.
Palate – Bursting with ripe bananas, grapefruit and butterscotch, with mango, sugar cane, cocoa, ginger and vanilla.
