Raise your Union Jacks and hang up that string bunting because on Saturday, May 6th, the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla will take place! Leading spirits brands are seizing the opportunity to celebrate with exclusive commemorative releases.

It's no secret that King Charles III adores his daily gin Martini, so it's only fitting that top gin brands are offering special commemorative bottlings for the occasion.

The Cotswolds Distillery has teamed up with Highgrove Gardens to craft a limited edition coronation whisky. In 2007, King Charles III himself officially opened The English Distillery, making it one of his favourite English whisky producers. To honour his coronation, The English is introducing the latest addition to its Royal range of whiskies, bottled exclusively for royal milestones.

With tantalizing aromas of toffee, cherries, and baked apples, this exquisite whisky features flavours' of chocolate, nuts, and figs on the palate. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks and PX Sherry barrels, only 5,000 bottles will be available worldwide at £85 each. Sadly all have now sold out at Whisky Rocks.

Whitley Neill – Connoisseur's Cut Coronation Gin is another limited edition release, distilled at The City of London Distillery. As the first and only gin distillery in London's heart for over 200 years, Whitley Neill's Connoisseur's Cut Gin is a classic London Dry expression, showcasing rich juniper and citrus notes at 47% ABV.

In 2012, the City of London unveiled a new still called Elizabeth to honour the late Queen's Diamond Jubilee. All Whitley Neill's London Dry gins, including this special release, are produced on this still. The limited edition bottle features a vibrant red, white, and blue colour scheme, complete with the official coronation emblem on the lid's seal.

If you cant get your hands on one of these bottles then Whisky Rocks have some great whiskies and spirits available at great prices, including Glenallachie, White Peak Distillery and plenty more besides.
